There came a pivotal moment when Sunsplash, a prominent reggae event in Montego Bay, faced a decline in its stature. Ras Records, seeking to fill this void, launched its own ambitious reggae show aimed at rivaling Sunsplash. Tasked with coordinating this endeavor, I took on the role of orchestrating a stellar lineup of top artists and ensuring their seamless presence across various hotels in the Negril area. My responsibilities included meticulous time management, artist coordination, and local marketing efforts to bolster the event’s profile.

Over the course of two successful years, this reggae show not only revitalized the scene but also introduced innovative elements such as the Jamaican National Domino Championship. Drawing attendees from around the globe, it became a celebrated gathering that showcased Jamaica’s rich cultural heritage and attracted diverse audiences to Negril.
